ABACUS ELECTRICS optical probes are bi-directional interface devices utilising infra-red light. Connecting to the serial port of a computer or hand-held terminal they permit galvanically isolated communication with tariff meters of the electricity and gas utilities.
IEC1107 probes are available for tariff meters with optical ports designed to the European IEC1107:1996 standard. ANSI Type 2 probes are available for tariff meters designed to the American National Standard ANSI C12.18-1996 (also Australian Standard AS 1284.10.2-1993). |
